In Andalusia you will find everything which comes to mind when you think of Spain: white washed villages, flamenco, beaches, cave houses, fiestas, processions, tapas, sherry, olive oil etc. But also art, nature and a relaxed lifestyle are part of the larger picture
Casa Pura Vida is located in a unique setting. Right in the middle of a small village, La Parrilla (part of Villanueva de Algaidas) in the province of Málaga. Opposite to the B&B is an authentic bar where you can eat tapas for lunch, but once you return through our door you immediately experience tranquility thanks to the endless views of the hills filled with olive trees.

When driving from the airport, you can always call us to share our position on google maps, or we advise you to aim for Cruz de Algaidas (a small village close to us but located on the best way to reach La Parrilla wich won’t show on the maps) on your GPS or phone and once you’re there just continue for another 8-10 minutes on CV174. Turn left at the T-intersection and there we are - in the dark grey house on the right, with a Swedish flag ( blue and yellow) outside.
Our house is more than 100 years old, an old farmhouse (cortijo) which was been restored about 20 years ago, and continuously been updated and made over to what it is today. It is built into the hillside and has several terraces (both sunny and shady), a refreshing swimming pool, a jeu de boule court and more.

The area is known for its olive oil and 90% of the population lives on olive cultivation. In La Parrilla it is as if time has stood still. Everyone knows everybody, the men go to the bar with their horses, dogs or tractors. The four legged friends are waiting faithfully at the door while their owners stop the clock for a delicious espresso with an anis liquor, a few tapas and to exchange the latest news. Children play all day outside and in the evening, sitting on their folding chairs outside their doors, the women gossip and enjoy the cool breeze.
You can find all this only an hours drive from Malaga Airport (78 km), but also one hour away from Granada and the magnificent Alhambra, Cordoba with its old Jewish quarter and Mesquita and the stunning city of Ronda.

Also nature lovers and bird watchers can explore. The Parque Natural El Torcal, the impressive Garganta del Chorro, beautiful Lake Iznajar, flamingoes in Fuente del Piedra and many other places can be found nearby. Or for the more adventurous white water rafting or quad biking!
